Minnesota Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survivor Network Scholarship honoring Officer Peter J. Resch

In 2013, the Minnesota Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survivor Network instituted a scholarship honoring Officer Peter J. Resch.

The student receiving the scholarship for 2014 is Paul Lentsch who is a bright young man as reflected in his high GPA. Paul is a Police Explorer, works at Valley Fair in the summers and as a Reserve Officer for Eden Prairie. Paul is certified in CPR and AED and as well as basic life support Health care AHA. Paul has learned basic emergency training through Hennepin County and in Police reserve school. Paul has personally witnessed a person experiencing agonal respirations while working at Valley Fair. He assisted in securing the area while more senior employees worked on this man using CPR and the AED. Unfortunately the man did not survive this tragic event. Although this was traumatic for Paul he maintains he is well qualified and keeps his training current for the time when he will be called upon to act.
